Content editing

Text, image, box, video and button are the elements used to create content in Edjet.

You can control position, size, style, rotation, scale, skew and depending on element type a few other special options.

Tip: To speed up your editing you can use keyboard shortcuts.

Adding element

To add a new element to your course, click Add element button and choose element you want to add from panel.

To select elements just click the element on the page.

Deleting element

If you want to delete the element, select elements and use Delete or Backspace key.

Changing element position

To change the position of the element, just drag it anywhere you want using mouse.

To position the element precisely, use input Position (X, Y) in the Inspector.

Changing element size

To change the size of the element use resizing handles, that can be dragged by a mouse.

To control the size precisely, use input Size (W, H) in the Inspector.

Changing element style

You can change style of the element by select the element and adjusting style properties using Inspector.

Adding interactivity to element

You can add interaction to the element by select the element and setting Interactivity properties using Inspector.

Transforming element

You can transform the element by selecting the element and adjusting the Rotate, Skew or Scale properties using Inspector.

Copy & paste element

To copy and paste element:

  1. Select the element you want to copy.
  2. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C or button in toolbar to copy element to clipboard.
  3. You can specify page and area where you want to paste element.
    Note: If not specified, the element is pasted to current page and content area.
  4. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V or button in toolbar to paste element.

Cut & paste element

To cut and paste element:

  1. Select the element you want to cut.
  2. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X or button in toolbar to cut element and copy to clipboard.
  3. You can specify page and area where you want to paste element.
    Note: If not specified, the element is pasted to current page and content area.
  4. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V or button in toolbar to paste element.

Duplicate element

To duplicated element just select the element and use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D.

Arranging elements

To control if the elements are placed behind or in front of another element, select an element and use keyboard shortcuts or Arrange buttons in toolbar:

  • Bring to Front Ctrl + Shift + ] Move the element in front of all other elements.
  • Send to Back Ctrl + Shift + [ Move the element behind all other elements.
  • Bring Forward Ctrl + ] Move the element one layer forward.
  • Send Backward Ctrl + [ Move the element one layer back.

Grouping & ungrouping elements

You can create group by selecting multiple elements by holding down the Shift key, click on them and then use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + G or button in toolbar.

To ungroup elements just select the group and use keyboard shortcut Shift + Ctrl + G or button in toolbar.

Undo & redo changes

To take back (Undo) any changes you’ve made use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z or the button in the toolbar.

To redo any changes you’ve made use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Y or the button in the toolbar.

Editor supports unlimited Undo and Redo steps.

Note: When you close the editor, the history of Undo & Redo steps is lost.

Saving changes

To permanently save your work, use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S or the button Save placed at the top right corner of the screen.
